LEYLINE: Places the viewer into the middle of a fictitious board game (complete with game expansions) where the players are building out their own power grid as they navigate real-world scenarios through Benefit and Catastrophe cards.

The Associated Electric Cooperative mural project was an incredible opportunity to breathe life into six(!) meeting rooms on a newly remodeled floor of their HQ. Throughout the process we had the pleasure of working very closely with the core AECI team. Their vision was for each individual mural to follow a theme that would inspire employees by interweaving historic figures and objects with pop culture elements and even references to AECI itself.

Special care was taken to include a diverse and inclusive cast of inspiration, motivating the viewer to potentially learn about events that they may not have known previously. The result is a visually dense composition meant to unfold over time as details are discovered and explored.

Each mural is dedicated to a specific thematic and pulls together various historical and fictional figures, artifacts, and information to tell a visual story (with plenty of easter eggs hidden throughout).
